The Aleph: Establishing Shots and Concept Art

Part 1 of my Storyboarding and Exploration into The Aleph by Jorge Luis Borges.

In this part, I explored character design and environment concepts for both the inside and outside of the Ancestral House.

Drawing Room: "Once again I would wait in the twilight of the small, cluttered drawing-room, once again I would study the details of her many photographs..."
Ancestral House: "My home, my ancestral home, my old and inveterate Garay Street home!" No further description, however, the setting is 1930-40s Plaza Constitution, Buenos Aires.
Beatriz Viterbo: "Beatriz had been tall, frail, slightly stooped; in her walk, there was (if the oxymoron may be allowed) a kind of uncertain grace, a hint of expectancy."
Carlos Argentino: "Carlos Argentino was pink-faced, overweight, gray-haired, fine-featured."

Drawing Room: A room the main character regularly visits to see the images of Beatriz scattered in the room.

Ancestral Home on Garay Street: The main setting of the story. Is owned by Carlos and was also the home of Beatriz. Inside the home is where the Aleph is.

Beatriz Viterbo: A character that had passed away before the events of the story but is the main focus for the main character who is oddly obsessed with.
